   The information below covers the most asked questions about NewWoodworker.com Custom Plan Sets and the associated procedures. If you have another question, please feel free to send it to me and I will answer as soon as possible.

Not Getting An Answer When Emailing Us?

Please check with your email service to see if they have filters or other mechanisms in place that limit your email. We have several on-going issues where people E-mail us, we respond, but they do not get the email and we do not get an error or failure notice. In many cases we later found that the senders email service was blocking various emails, putting them in "bulk" or "spam" email boxes and not notifying the customer. Ameritech.net is one, Yahoo in various forms is another and I suspect there are others.

Can I Order Paper Copies Of NewWoodworker.com Plans?

We do not send paper copies of our plans. The cost of printing, packaging and especially shipping paper plans is more than the price of the plan. To keep the price of our plans as low as possible, we do not ship paper copies. Also, the call for paper copies of plans is very low.

How Soon After I Order Will the Plans Be Emailed?

   There is a delay between when you place the order and when we get the notice of it. To keep the per-plan cost low, we do not use one of the automated delivery systems. NewWoodworker.com LLC gets a notice that the transaction occurred (we never see the actual credit card info) and we can send the plans. Depending on how busy the credit card servers are, there can be a delay from a few minutes to a few hours.
   We send the plans as soon as we get the notice. We check email many times during the day. Unfortunately, I can't be at the computer 24/7, though it seems like it!

Ordering Plans Through Yahoo and Other "Free" Email Services

 If you have a Yahoo or other "free" email address on file with PayPal, the email containing your plans order may be put in your bulk email box when they are delivered. This does not seem to be consistent but does happen frequently so please check both your personal and bulk email boxes when ordering our plans through any of these "free" email services.

I ordered a plan using PayPal but didn't get it!

   The number one reason plans do not get delivered is your having an incorrect or outdated email address on file with PayPal. PayPal emails a receipt for the order to the same email address we are given to send the plan to. If you did not recieve a receipt, you probably have a bad email address on file with Paypal.
   The next most common is using Hotmail.
   If you ordered plans using Hotmail or may have an old email address on file at PayPal and the do not arrive within 12 to 24 hours, Click Here and tell us when, what plan/s and your current email address.
   Some email services have filters that block mail from any address not in your address book. Some give you the option to OK the address and get the email, others simply delete it without notifying you which also prevents us from responding to questions.
   

Can I Buy Plans Using eCheck?

   No. After many attempts and far too many frauds, we no longer accept eCheck payments for anything. There were very few people using it to start with and it turned out that the majority of those were crooks.

Pay By Check - Get Plans & NewWoodworker.com DVD's Via E-mail

   If you would rather not use on line payments you can send a check for the amount of the plans or NewWoodworker.com DVD's wanted and we will email (ship DVD's) them to you upon receipt of the payment. With DVD orders, be sure to include your full mailing address.

Be sure to include a list of those plans and your complete and LEGIBLE email address. We will email the plans in PDF format to that email address. We do not mail paper copies of plans.

Can I Build These Projects?

   NewWoodworker.com Custom Plan Sets are especially designed for beginning to intermediate woodworkers. Nearly all plan sets include construction options that help you build projects you can be proud of with the tools you have. Each NewWoodworker.com Plan includes a CAD-drawn plan, professionally written step-by-step instructions and links to stories on this site that explain special techniques used in that project.

What About Payment Security

   We use PayPal to handle internet payments. Each transaction is handled completely by PayPal which automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).
   NewWoodworker.com never sees, nor has access to credit card information. That information remains confidential on specially protected PayPal servers. All we get is a confirmation the transaction is complete so we can send the plan sets to you.

Why do You Use PDF Files?

   The Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) file format allows you to read and print NewWoodworker.com Custom Plan Sets on virtually any computer and printer.
   You must have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program on your computer to open these files. The Acrobat Reader comes pre-installed on many computers, or you can download it free by clicking the Adobe button at right.
