Wall Clock with Display

Text, photos & design by Tom Hintz

This solid oak clock is 20 1/2"-tall, 14"-wide and 3 3/4"-deep. It includes a display case built into the bottom half that features an adjustable shelf so objects of many sizes can be shown.

The prototype was built using through dovetail joinery to show off the oak grain and add some contrast to the sides. A 6"-diameter clock face is set into the wood about 3/8" to give it a little more dimension.
This is a very easy project to build, and lends itself to many design modifications.
