The segment continues with looks at installing the brass tubes and preparing the blanks for turning. Bushing kits, turning the decorative ring tenon and learning to size the wood correctly is next, followed by sanding tips to ready the wood for finishing.

The Finishing segment shows application of three different common finish materials and the use of CA glue as a base that enhances friction finishes. We also look at how I use the Beal Wood Buff system for finishing pens.

In the Assembly segment you walk through a hands on demonstration of pressing the pieces in correctly and getting the all-important mechanism set to the right depth.
