I am semi-retired!

As of 8-10-2011 I am semi-retiring from my writing & photography business. The last 11 years of 20-hour days to keep up with writing assignments and my web sites at the same time has been getting tougher to endure as the years add up. I always intended to do the web sites (actually just www.newwoodworker.com) when I retired but my increasing frustration with the magazine and racing world made moving to woodworking full time just a good mental health decision. The addition of www.newmetalworker.com increases this workload a bit more but now I can devote the time and energy to produce both of my web sites and gradually increase the flow of content to make them grow even faster.

I will occasionally consider writing assignments but have no interest in magazine-related work, freelance or staff positions. I appreciate your asking but that work just isn't going to happen with me anymore. Feel free to contact me with your ideas. The worst that can happen is I decline the offer!
